The rain garden was installed based on a grant from National Resources Conservation Services. Representatives worked with the seniors in environment science throughout the year explaining the value and reason for having rain gardens. The students than helped plan and install the garden after using various different methods; paper, computer, models etc. The students picked the plants, and designed all aspects of the rain garden with the support of N.R.C.S.
and landscape architects.
