Barbara L. Strain 81'
President
Barbara L. Strain was born and raised in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. She is a 1981 graduate of W.B. Saul High School of Agricultural Sciences, Keystone Farmer Degree recipient, and majored in Animal Science. Life circumstances pulled Barbara to another medical field. She is employed as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in Philadelphia and holds a Master's of Science in Nursing from Immaculata University. Barbara is married to her husband Jerry, has three grown children and six grandchildren. , Barbara reflects that hard work and dedication is the key to success. She has been involved with Saul events since 2001. Barbara's goal has always been to organize Saul High School’s Alumni Association to better serve the school.
John Whitehead '97
Vice President
John Whitehead is a 1997 graduate of W.B. Saul High School. He has a degree in Business Administration from Delaware Valley University. John currently is the manager of special events and door relations at Big Brother and Big Sisters. Big Brothers and Sisters is nonprofit donor-supported organization that enriches, encourages and empowers children to reach their highest potential through safe, one-to-one mentoring relationships.
Sean Jones '11
Treasurer
Sean Jones is a 2011 graduate of Saul High School in 2011. He is a former State officer for Pennsylvania FFA. Currently works for The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. In addition, helps run Saul’s Flower show Web page.
Anna Bellucci Kirmes 94'
Secretary
Anna Bellucci is a 1994 graduate of Saul High School. She has two daughters, is active in her community and her daughter's home and school association.
John Riebow 85'
Board Member
John Riebow was born and raised in Philadelphia, where he attended the W. B. School High School of Agriculture Sciences, majoring in Horticulture. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Temple University, is a LEED-Accredited Professional, and serves as Director of Design for a design-build-development general contractor. He has operated a design-build landscape contracting company for 35 years.
Jean McMullin 97'
Board Member
Jean McMullin grew up in Northeast Philly doing what most city people do, playing sports and dreaming of spending all my time with animals. Of course, the closest I could get to the latter was my own dog, or much to my parent's dismay any stray, wounded, or lost animal I could find and bring home. As I got older, I knew I wanted to make a career out of working with animals, which is where my journey with Saul started. Getting the hands on experience confirmed I was on the right path. After graduation in 1998, she attended Delaware Valley College (now University) and received my Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. She has since worked as a veterinary technician at an animal hospital, an animal conservation educator and tour guide for private animal tours at Walt Disney World and currently a Data Quality Specialist for Henry Schein Veterinary Solutions.
Allen Downing 82'
Board Member
Allen Downing was born March 17, 1965 in Big Town,Texas. He is a 1982 graduate of Saul High School. Allen graduated from Delaware Valley College with a BS in Agriculture. He also is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and hold a Masters in both English and Psychology . Allen has worked as an animal tech at the University of Pennsylvania since 1989. He is proud to serve on the Alumni Board.
Beth Strain-Berry 86'
Board Member
Beth Strain-Berry is a 1986 Saul graduate who majored in Horticulture. Beth has worked in various retail floriculture positions, but currently works as a Philadelphia constituent service provider. She is thrilled to be active with Saul's alumni association. Beth is married and has one son who graduated from Saul High School.
Christopher Stith 06'
Board Member
Christopher Stith graduated from W.B Saul High School in 2006. Christopher is a former four year Philadelphia FFA officer and Class President of the Class of 2006. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. A current law student, Christopher also works for the Social Security Administration.
